IN TRIBUTE TO
Linwood J. "Tug" Nedeau
- Firefighter
- That is how they are remembered. Names and even faces are forgotten after several generations. They fight fires, risk their lives, hold back the rage of blazing forests by the sheer determination of their wills and endure any danger to save the lives of others.
- Man
- That is how he will be remembered. Didn't say much but when he did you listened. Dreamed great dreams for his children and provided the support to get the dreams under way. Asked few questions but when he did they were straight-forward and to the point. Nurtured his family, his wife, his children, and cared, not with too much talk. You could count on him.
- Man
- Tug was one of them and the very best.
- Statistics
- Unimportant. He was born and he died. The length of years is irrelevant. He lived. That is what counts.
And for our memory the thought of him makes us smile, widely and openly, the courage of him makes us humble and gives us the courage and such gentleness beneath the surface.
- Firefighter
- MAN.... How fortunate for those of us who knew him.
