I-95 Head-on Collision - January 30, 2001

Vehicle 4 Front
This semi (vehicle 4)  was struck head-on by vehicle 1.

Vehicle 4 Left Side
Although vehicle 4 received major damage, The driver received superficial injuries.

Vehicle 4 Right Side
Notice the damage to the roofline and windshield.

Vehicle 6 Right Side
This vehicle (vehicle 6) was damaged but not involved in the primary accident.

Vehicle 3 Driver's Compartment
This vehicle (vehicle 3) was struck head-on by vehicle 1.

Vehicle 3 Left Side
Vehicle 3 sustained major damage to the front end.

Vehicle 3 Left Side
Vehicle 3 was also struck on the right side by a semi (vehicle 5).

Vehicle 3 Front
The driver of vehicle 3 sustained minor injuries.  The driver was wearing a seat belt and the air bag deployed.

While a fuel leak contributed to the fire, there was no explosion.
